Join the NIH Landscape Architect, Mr. Brandon Hartz, for a recorded virtual tour of the NIH Stream. The NIH Stream carries the majority of stormwater runoff from the Bethesda campus to nearby Rock Creek, then into the Potomac River, and eventually into the Chesapeake Bay. The NIH Stream has been restored in recent years to reduce erosion and pollution and there have been other projects to protect the native plants and animals that live around the NIH Stream. The tour will discuss topics such as stormwater runoff, erosion, pollution prevention, natural buffer zones, native wildlife, invasive species, and more! We hope everyone enjoys the tour!
