Take Action to Protect the Future

National Institute of General Medical Sciences

The NIGMS Green Team (GT) works to encourage environmentally responsible practices by increasing awareness of recycling options, promoting reusable products, and suggesting methods for reducing waste.

We are always looking for new and more effective ways to help our IC become more “green.”  Feel free to email the co-chairs at the addresses below (click on their names) or attend one of our meetings.

Battery recycling is located in the mail/ copy rooms on the second and third floors.

The NIGMS Green Team collected and stored dishes and silverware in the galley for all staff to use, wash, and replace.

The NIH Recycling Coordinator gave an informational presentation on recycling to all NIGMS staff on March 15, 2012.
