Visit the 2023 NIH Green Labs Fair!
The NIH Green Labs Fair returns to an in-person format this year on September 19 in the Building 10 South Lobby from 10am to 2pm! The Green Labs Fair (GLF) is a vendor and poster show with the aim of encouraging the use of green lab products throughout the NIH intramural research community. Vendors will be in-person to showcase their green products and to answer any questions. Green products will cover all manner of uses and sustainability in the lab including energy conservation, water conservation, reduced toxicity, biobased materials, recyclable packaging and more. Vendors and a few of their green product highlights have been listed ahead of the Fair on the Green Labs Fair webpage.
The Green Labs Fair will also feature a few posters and informational booths on NIH sustainability programs and green practices. The NIH FreeStuff program staff will describe how its service can be beneficial to NIH staff and show how to utilize its database. Staff from the Division of Environmental Protection will share their programs, such as the NIH Green Labs Program, the NIH Freezer Challenge and the NIH Solvent Recovery Program. Come ask these experts how you can implement green practices in your lab!

The NIH Green Labs Fair is led by the Sustainable Lab Practices Working Group. This group consists of NIH staff that wish to improve the sustainability of labs at the NIH. If you would like to contribute to this group or you seek to stay informed on green labs at the NIH, please email green@od.nih.gov to join!
