Emissions Checklists


Checklist for Emergency Generators

The Application package for the Emergency Generators to be submitted to MDE will include:

  • ​Application package cover letter describing the proposed project.
  • Complete application Form 42
  • Vendor/Manufacturer specifications
  • Process flow diagrams with emission points Site Plan including the location of the proposed source and property boundary.
  • All emissions calculations
  • Certificate of Public Convenience Necessity (CPCN) waiver document from the Public Service Commission required for emergency and non-emergency generators installed on or after October 1, 2001 and rated at 2001 KW or more.


Checklist for Small Fuel Burning Equipment Boiler/Heater with a Mas. Rated heat Input from one to less than 10 MMBTU/hr.

  • ​Application package cover letter describing the proposed project.
  • Small Fuel Burning (Boiler/Heater) Equipment Application
  • Installer information
  • Equipment specifications
  • Fuel Information (Indicate the type and quantity of fuel burned.
